SSC Stenographer Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2022 Details

SSC Steno Grade C & D Exam is one of the most awaited exam for all higher secondary passed candidates and as always this year also the online application process will be notified soon. The examination is held as per the annual calendar of staff selection commission and it generally conducted in May-June month of every year. The required qualification for applying SSC stenographer exam is 10+2 or
higher secondary level or equivalent from any recognized board/university.
Exam pattern for SSC stenographer 2022
SSC will hold an all india level competitive examination for recruitment of steno grade C& D on july-August 2022 . The exam type is one single paper based examination. The test will be online through various online exam centers all over
the India. There will be a skill test after the written test. Thus Pattern is follows
1. A single paper based Written examination:
This examination is conducted for two hour duration.
The Paper contains 200 multiple choice questions. Each question
carries 1 mark each thus the total allocated mark for this exam paper is 200.
There will be negative marking for each wrong answer you enter. The value of
negative marking is 0.25 marks. That is for each four wrong answer you provide
one mark will be deducted from your total mark obtained. The section wise mark allotment is is given below
General intelligence and Reasoning: 50 mark(100 marks)
General Awareness: 50 marks( 50 Questions)
English language and Comprehension : 100 marks ( 100 questions )

Skill tests:
As the name suggest the examination is stenography skill test. The test is conducted if candidate qualifies in the written test . This skill test is conducted for both Steno grade C and grade D job posts. The stenography requirement is different for both the grades i.e. for grade C job one need 100 words per minute typing speed and for grade D
job one need a typing speed of 80 words per minute. This skill test is taken in a fix time bound. The typing will be done in compute keyboard. The candidate will be tested both English and Hindi medium. The time provided for the test is as follows:
Stenographer Grade C: 40 minute for English and 55 minute for Hindi
Stenographer Grade D : 50 minute will be provided for English typing and 65 Minute will be provided for Hindi
