SSC CHSL Examination Details:
SSC Combined Higher Secondary level is one of
the most popular Higher Secondary level or 10+2 Level Examination. Staff
Selection Commission Conducts the examination yearly to fulfil the Vacancies
in various Central government Offices, departments and Ministries. It is very popular due to its low requirement of qualification i.e 10+2 only. Any
Student with Higher secondary level qualification can apply and appear for it. Through this online test following vacant posts are

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2021:
Previously the Exam pattern of combined Higher Secondary
level was very simple. A Single stage offline written test was
used to held for recruiting the candidates. From 2016 the it is
slightly change with some some new moves and techniques. Few changes are introduced due to large
number of candidates applying for the popular exam.
Latest Exam Pattern Of SSC Combined Higher Secondary level 2021:
As per the latest news the combined higher secondary examination
will be held in three stages. Stage 1 called Tier 1, stage II is called tier II and stage III is called Skill test of computer Proficiency Test.

SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam Pattern:
The Tier 1 examination is computer based SSC online exam which is held in
various online Centers distributed in different places of India. The commission has chosen various cities for conducting this exam. The paper contains 100 multiple choice questions carrying 2 mark each. Total mark allocated for this paper is 200
marks. Candidates will be provided 75
minute to complete this paper. There will be negative marking for each wrong
answer and the value of negative marking is 0.5 mark for each wrong
answer. If a Candidate answers 2 wrong
answer then 1 mark is deducted from his total owned mark. The paper is
consist of for Different sections namely
General intelligence and Reasoning: This section Contains 25
question and thus 50 mark
Quantitative Aptitude: This section Contains 25 question and
thus 50 mark
English language: This section Contains 25 question and thus
50 mark
General Awareness: This section Contains 25 question and
thus 50 mark
All Questions of this paper is multiple choices in nature and
each question contains for Options. Every question will be available in both Hindi
and English Language. Candidate can
choose any one of the language.
Tier II: Descriptive Paper
The Tier II paper of is Descriptive
type in nature and it is pen and paper based examination. The examination paper is of
100 mark and candidates will be given One hour to complete this paper. The
paper contains questions for Essay writing, Letter/Application writing and
Report Writing. This paper is introduced to check the writing ability of the candidates.
Candidates need to write Essay in
200-250 words for any given topic and also have to write Letter in 150-200 words.
There is a qualifying percentage for this paper. In order to qualify this paper
Candidates must secure 33% mark in this paper. The mark obtained in this paper
will be added in the total mark obtained in Tier I by candidate.
Tier III: Skill Test or Computer Proficiency Test
In this Tier the candidates are Tested their skill for the
post requirement. This Skill test or
Typing test is only qualifying in nature and the mark obtained in this examination
will not be added in for preparing merit list.
Skill Test For Data Entry operator:
For Data Entry and Operator post the skill test is required
and i.e. Computer Typing test. The Requirement is Data Entry Speed of 8000 Key
Depression per hour in computer. But Exam is held only for 15 minute. That is
in 15 minute the candidate need to type 2000 correct words in computer. The
candidates will be given a paragraph containing 2000-2200 English words and
candidate need to type these words on computer correctly. The candidates will be called selected if
he/she able to type 2000-2200 words correctly on computer. If there are not sufficient Number of SC, ST,
OBC or PH candidates for Skill test then the commission may fix some relaxation
criteria for such candidates or reverse the same depending upon the situation.
Typing Test for LDCs, Postal/Sorting Assistant or Court Clarks:
Those candidates who qualify in both Tier 1 and Tier II are called for Typing test or skill test. This skill test exam is only qualifying in
nature and the mark obtained in this test will not be added to prepare
the final merit list or final selection list. Typing test is conducted in both English and Hindi
language. Candidate can choose any one of the language as their preferences
in the application from during registration. Those who has opted English language for typing test have to type 35 words per minute in order to qualify the
examination and those who have opted Hindi language as their language for typing test need to type 30 words per minute in order to qualify CHSL online Test.
The typing test will be conducted for 10 minute i.e. candidates
need to type 350 words in English language correctly and for Hindi language 300
words correctly.
Visually Handicapped (VH) candidates will be allowed 30 minute
for typing the same.
