- General intelligence and reasoning
- General awareness and
- English language and Comprehension
What is skill test in SSC stenographer examination?
Well, Here skill test refers to stenography skill test. The process of skill test is as follows
- There will be a dictator who dictates a paragraph, which candidates needs to note down in a note book first.
- The speed of dictation is 100 words per minute for grade c posts and 80 words per minutes for grade d posts.
- Dictation will continue till 10 minute of time period.
- For grade c post candidates need to note down 1000 words in 10 minute and for grade d job posts candidates need to note down 800 words in 10 minute.
- After the dictation is complete candidates need to transcripts the dictation note that candidate has made into computer. Candidates need to use computer keyboard for transcription.
- The transcription time is 40 minute for grade c and 50 minute for grade d job posts transcripting in English language.
- The transcription time is 55 minute for grade c job posts and 65 minute is allocated for grade d job posts transcripting in Hindi language.
- Candidates need to select his transcription language during registration process. If not selected during registration process then English language is given by default.
- The transcription typing speed for english language is 25 words per minute for grade c job post and 16 words per minute for grade d job posts.
- The transcription typing speed for Hindi language is 19 words per minute for grade c job posts and 14 words per minute for grade d job posts.
- Keep in mind skill test is only qualifying type in nature. There is marks for skill test. If you able to manage transcription in allocated time frame accurately and with required speed then you will be qualify the skill test.
