Full form of SSC is  Staff Selection Commission. SSC is the top most  mass recruitment commission of India after Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). SSC mainly conducts recruitment examination for all central lower category posts. The posts  SSC  recruitment examination includes are Group B posts and Group Group C posts.

What is the Sole Function of SSC?

The sole function of  SSC is to conducts various Recruitment Examinations or interviews  annually or in regular period  of time to recruit various employees  to fulfil the vacant positions . The recruited employees need to work for central government departments/ministries, offices and Organisations. There are several zonal offices of SSC to conduct and monitor annual fresh  recruitment as well as Departmental examinations.
