According to the Annual Calendar of SSC issued for the year
2016, a recruitment notification for SSC
Stenographer Examination 2016 is issued on 07/05/2016. Candidate can apply
for the posts from the date of Online registration opened till the last date
through online registration process. Last date of application may be changed
depending on the condition.

Who Can Apply?
A citizen of India, A subject of Nepal, A subject of Bhutan,
a Tibetan refugee and a person with Indian origin migrated from various
countries. A candidate must be passed 10+2 or Higher secondary Level or Equivalent
from any central or State recognized Board/University or Institutes with a good
typing Knowledge.

- A good Knowledge of Stenography is required to be selected for this post.
- Minimum Stenography speed required is 80 words/min
Age Limit for
Applying SSC Stenographer 2016:
To apply for this post a candidate may not exceed 27 years
and not less than 18 years of old.
Age limit relaxation will be as per the Gov. Norms.
OBC (NCL): 3 years of Age Relaxation (NCL certificate should
be issued in prescribed format not older than 3 years from the date of
Notification issued)
SC/ST: 5 years of age Relaxation
PH: 10 years
PH+OBC: 13 years
PH+ST/SC: 15 years
SSC Examination Fee
Details:
All OBC and UR male candidates have to pay
rupees of Rs.100 through Net
Banking/Debit card/ SBI challan for completion of the registration process. A
women candidates, ST/SC or PH candidates and ex-servicemen may not need to pay
any fee for the registration

Process for SSC Stenographer exam 2016:
The
Online Registration process for SSC Stenographer has been changed for this
year. You cannot registrar as like before (I.e. part 1 and Part 2 Process) .
This time one single registration process will be followed.
First
candidates have to registrar for 1 time registration in www.ssconline.nic.in This registration ID will be valid for whole
the year for all the SSC examinations.

Process:
If you are a
New User/Candidate then follow the following process of SSC Online
Registration:
1.Click on
New Registration (Register), then a Pop Up window will come up.
2. Fill the
required fields on the pop up window which includes your name, fathers name,
Your HSLC Roll No, your date of Birth and your Gender. Be carefully while
filling up all fields since this field will not be editable in future. Then
enter verification text and Hit Enter.
3. Then
another form will appear. You have to fill up all the required fields carefully.
Here you have to fill the basic information like your mother name, Caste,
religion, Aadhar card details (if any), Identification mark, Address details, contact details, email
details etc. Then you have to enter verification text and HIT SUBMIT.
4. Then a page
will appear showing your Provisional Registration ID Number and Password. Keep
these Reg. ID No and Password carefully. Here you can Upload your Scan Passport
Size Photograph and Signature and complete the Registration process. Or you can
close the window and Log in latter for completing the registration Process from
main window on www.ssconline.nic.in.
If you want
to complete your Registration through here then do followings.
5. Upload
your Scan photographs and Signatures and Click Submit. Then click next
Then one time
online registration is Complete. For payments follow the following processes

Size for Passport size photo: 4-12 KB (Pixel size: Height-120 Pixel,
Width -100 Pixel)
Prescribed
Size for Signature: 1-12KB (Pixel Size: Height- 40 Pixel Width -60 Pixel)
If you are
already a Registrar Candidate having registration ID and Password
Apply
Process:
1. Click on www.ssconline.nic.in
2. Go to
Apply/Print Field and Enter Your Registration ID and Password and Text
verification.
3. Then a
apply form will appear you have to fill the required fields and the check on i
accept box. Then enter text verification and click Final Submit.
4. Then a pop
up window appear asking you your payment process. You can pay through online
net banking/Debit/credit card or through offline Challan. Tick on your
preference.
5. If you
select Offline Process you then a challan will be generated. You have to print
is out and pay the fee in nearest SBI
6. If you
select Net banking/Debit/Credit card process then you will be redirected to the
payment gateway. Then you have to complete your payment process.
For again
downloading the offline challan you have to go to home page and click in
download offline challan. And entering your registration id and password you
can download challan again.

The Selection process for this post is purely based on
written Examination and Skill test. Candidates will be selected on the merit
basis written examination and promoted to give skill test. The final merit list
will be prepared on the basis of written exam and Skill test performance. For

SSC Stenographer
Grade(C&D) 2016 Selection Process:
The candidates will be selected through the written
examination and Skill test. The written examination consists of 200 multiple
choice questions carrying 1 mark each. The duration of Examination is 2 hour.
This single paper based examination and skill test will finally decide your selection.
